Easy Caramel Apple Crisp Recipe

This is a super simple and quick dessert that’s sure to please (at least, it’s always a hit around our house!)

Serve it, still steaming, with a dollop of real whipped cream, or (our favorite) a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

Perfect for those cold winter nights!

Easy Caramel Apple Crisp
1 c. sugar
1/2 fresh orange
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4 large Golden Crisp apples
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup Pampered Chef Sweet Caramel Sprinkles
4 tbsp, caramel topping (the ice cream stuff)

Mise en Place
Juice orange (about 2 tbsp,) Peel and slice apples thick – about 1 inch.

Prepare the Dish
Preheat oven to 375°F.

Combine 1/2 c. sugar, orange juice, water and cinnamon in bottom of small baking dish.

Add in the sliced apples.

In a separate bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 c. sugar, flour, salt, caramel sprinkles, and butter until crumbly.

Spread over apples and pat smooth.

Bake for 40-50 minutes, until apples are tender and crust is browned. Drizzle with caramel topping before baking the last 5 minutes.

Remove from oven and allow to cool about 10 minutes so you don’t melt your lips off.

Serve hot with ice cream!
