2014 Home Chef Holiday Gift Guide

We’re getting down to the wire on those Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers!

There’s just so much great stuff out there for the passionate foodie and home chef…how do you decide?

Well, I asked six of my very favorite food bloggers what they were buying and recommending this year, and here’s what they told me…be sure to check out their blogs for these and lots more great ideas!

Oh, and be sure to come back tomorrow as we begin our “12 Days of Christmas” countdown!

We’ll add one post every day between now and the big day: fantastic holiday recipes, tips for staying organized and stress free, heart-warming Christmas stories, more last-minute gifts ideas, and lots more…be sure to enter your email address in the “Subscribe” box on the right-hand column so you don’t miss it!

What the Pros are giving this year:

Emily Paster, who blogs at West of the Loop, says: “A digital kitchen scale. It will revolutionize the way you bake. (I’d be pretty happy with a bag of her Thyme-Infused Sea-Salt Caramels, too!)

Meagan Davenport, at The Curried Nut, is all about the KitchenAid stand mixer. “I love love love my cherry-red anniversary mixer with clear bowl!” Plus, I think I NEED to start my Christmas morning with Meagan’s French Toast with Almond Butter Glaze and Fresh Blueberries!

My pal, Adriana Martin of Adriana’s Best Recipes, suggests a Ninja blender (and you know I love mine!) and tosses a delicious-looking Coconut Acorn Squash Soup recipe into the deal! I’m SO making that!

Caramelize Life’s Rachelle Kimbrell Weymuller told me, “A couple of items that are used regularly in my kitchen are; the nonstick oven liner, zojirushi rice maker and my evasolo tea carafe.

Michele Morris at Cooking with Michelle, suggests the perfect non-stick skillet. This is a great, practical gift for any cook, and I happen to have three on my “Dear Santa” list this year, myself.

Gap Creek Gourmet’s Nichole Livengood has a shout-out for the Nespresso Aeroccino plus. “It’s the bomb!” she says, “I put it on my holiday gift guide this year!”  Be sure to check out Nichole’s “12 Days of Giveaways” (today is the last day!) for a delicious Gap Creek Gourmet Gift Basket!
