If you have heart-health issues, any form of diabetes, or other health concerns, and your doctor has recommended restricting you intake of sodium and/sugars (ie: carbs), or just want to eat healthier, but have trouble finding the time to do so, then the Heart Healthy Plan is probably what you’re looking for.

Traditional advice from the medical/health community suggests that, for weight loss, we eat around 1,200-1500 calories a day, and are supposed to eat 4-5 times each day, with a moderate breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a couple of small snacks.

Shrimp Bacon Soft TacosTypically this would mean having a breakfast of about 250 calories, a snack at 150 calories, lunch at 250 calories and another 150 calories snack at around 4pm,  and for dinner around 400-600 calories of high-protein and low-fat.

We follow the same guidelines of great tasting, easy to prepare, seasonal, and adventurous, dishes.

(Without using a bunch of “fake food” along the way!)

MY KITCHEN Outreach Program

Heyya Heroes!

MY KITCHEN Outreach ProgramEach year in this country, the gap between our children and the basic life-skills they need to survive and thrive, is widening.

With each generation the disconnect between self-sufficiency and our future, becomes more apparent. Corporate Food increases it’s stranglehold, and grows rich, by preying on our children’s ignorance, expanding their profits with cheap, nutritionally-void, chemical-laden “ready to eat” food.

And, it’s getting worse…but it’s getting better, too!

Last year, MY KITCHEN Outreach was tremendously successful, serving more than 1,000 meals for the hungry, and mentoring dozens of youth in our free cooking classes.

While we are actively teaching at-risk kids and families how to plan, shop for, and cook affordable, healthy, “real” food for themselves, we need your help to make our efforts go even further in 2018, especially in our new after-school program!

MY KITCHEN Outreach Program Carson

You can help us break the cycle of ignorance, malnutrition, child obesity, and childhood diabetes.

Your support is crucial to our efforts to teach kids these basic life skills, for themselves and for future generations.

Help us Bless a Family this Christmas!

MY KITCHEN Outreach Program

Each year, as part of the James1:27 Project, of our MY KITCHEN Outreach, we choose a family in need to bless at Christmas.

This year, we have a single mom, with several young ones, who is having to find a new place to live. She works a full time job, and receives no form of government assistance, but, as they say…life has happened, and they need some help.

Bacon! A Home Chef's GuideThis year, our fund-raising just happens to coincide with the release of my newest Home Chef Guidebook, “BACON!”

So…let’s make the most of that!

Today (Friday) through this Sunday, 100% of the sales of this guidebook, or ANY of my books on Amazon (www.perryperkinsbooks.com) will be donated to this year’s family.

If you’re still looking to fill some Christmas present slots…buy ’em a book! 😉

(The Home Chef Series, “MEAT FIRE GOOD”, and “Just A Spoonful” are all great gift options for non-caja owners!)

If you would like to give directly to the family, please contact me.

Also, we’re looking for some folks who might be willing to offer a “Matching Funds” deal, as part of their year-end charitable giving. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, I can provide tax-deductible recipes. Again, please contact me in you’re interested.

Lastly, PLEASE share this request with your friends and family, and don’t forget that you can even donate a Bob 2016 Revolution Flex stroller if you wish.

Merry Christmas mBooks by Perry P. Perkinsy friends!
